Camier aims for 20 race wins at Oulton Park

Leon Camier might have wrapped up the BSB title at Silverstone two weeks ago but now his target is taking his season tally of race wins to 20 – in the season ending triple header at Oulton Park in Cheshire.

Camier chalked up the first of his four winning doubles at the same circuit earlier this year and offers the chance for him to claim a second treble, having won all three races at the “Brands Big Bash” festival in August.

Camier’s teammate James Ellison will be out to do whatever it takes to secure second place in the championship to brush aside the challenge from Hydrex Honda rider Stuart Easton.

In an impressively consistent season, Ellison has been a podium finisher in six of the previous seven races, winning two, and last time out at Silverstone finished second to Camier earlier in the day, then turned the tables on the newly crowned champion in race two.

Ellison said: “I think I have found something extra in me and the bike which hopefully will continue through these final races of the season.”

Easton sits third, 51 points behind Ellison but hasn’t given up yet.

He said: “Third place in the championship is secure but while there is a chance of better, then I will go for it – the Hydrex team has given me a package that I can win on, and I am looking for more wins.”
