Easton’s Cadwell crash

Stuart Easton crashed the Swan Honda during testing at Cadwell Park today.

According to his crew chief Pete Jennings, he suffered a ‘nasty deep cut in the back of his knee which required surgery to repair.”

Jennings also said the crash happened as Easton made the left to right transition after Coppice into Charlies (turn one to turn two).

The rear tyre lost grip in the direction change, then grip and tried to highside the rider.

Easton was thrown back into the saddle and almost saved it, but by then he was heading onto the grass and had to lay the bike down.

He hit the tyre wall and was unhurt but then the bike, which had also hit the tyre wall, flicked into the air and landed on Easton’s leg, slicing open the area just below the back of his knee.

It is too early to say whether or not Easton will be fit enough to race in the first BSB round at Brands Hatch on Easter Monday.
