Hutchinson back on a superbike

Ian Hutchinson was back on a Swan Yamaha superbike at Mallory yesterday as he continued his racing comeback.

Hutchy will ride the Swan Yamaha at Macau next month and Swan technician Mick Shanley said: “The test went well. He’s still running a right hand gear change and will probably stick with it for the short term. We got 30 laps in and he said the bike felt quick – but then it would after having so much time on the sidelines. We had planned to run fresh tyres later but then it rained.”

Hutchy tweeted: “Rode the superbike for the first time and all went well…”
