Positive first impressions for Haga

1 of 1

Noriyuki Haga rolled into the pit lane this afternoon, dismounted from the Swan Yamaha and walked over to put his arm around his crew chief Simon Green.

Haga had been in and out of the pit box every session, fine-tuning the new Motec system. It was obvious there had been a fundamental step forward in the bike set-up on this very first day of testing.

Haga said: “We had been making many changes (to the fuelling) with no big difference and then we did some more small changes and the bike felt so much better.

“My first impressions of the bike are that it is good. Of course, I want to change the bike to suit me to make it easier to ride. But I’m surprised how good the Yamaha already is.”
