Morello Racing have announced that National Superstock 1000 front runners Victor Cox and Danny Johnson will move up to the MCE British Superbike Championship in 2015 with the squad, replacing John Ingram.

The Norwich team, who took a best result of twelfth with Ingram, will field the duo on a brace of Kawasaki ZX-10Rs while also continuing their Stock 1000 commitments. Ingram will move to that squad, joined by Josh Elliot and German newcomer Markus Guethner.

Cox said: “I can’t wait to get started in 2015 and I’m really pleased to be riding for Morello Racing. Steve, Chris and Donna have built up a great team and I’m delighted to be part of it. I’ve raced in the Superstock 1000 class for a few years now but I really wanted to make that step up to British Superbikes, so I’m very thankful to Steve for giving me this opportunity. I know we can do a great job and get some good results and I can’t wait to get started.”

Johnson said: “I’m so pleased to be given this opportunity by Steve Buckenham and my personal sponsors to compete in the BSB class for Morello Racing in 2015. After winning the Bemsee MRO Rookie 600 class in 2009, I never would have thought I could get an opportunity to compete in the most exciting championship in the world. With a great testing and fitness programme in place, I plan to keep my head down and do my talking on the track and prove my worth against some of the best riders in the world.”

Morello Racing team owner Steve Buckenham commented: “I’m delighted to have both Victor and Danny out there on our Superbikes in 2015. I really enjoyed our first season in MCE BSB and we learnt an awful lot so I’m really looking forward to next year. I’m sure both boys will do well in their first year in the Superbike class, and with three riders out in the Superstock 1000 Championship too it promises to be a strong year for Morello Racing.”
