Linfoot set to miss Brands and Oulton with broken wrist

Honda Racing rider Dan Linfoot will miss the remainder of this weekend’s Brands Hatch MCE British Superbike round after a free practice crash left the Yorkshireman with a broken wrist.

Linfoot will also miss the Oulton Park round in two weeks time, with the injury set to be operated on in the next few days at London’s Kings College Hospital, where he was taken after the crash.

The injury couldn’t have come at a worse time for Linfoot, looking to capitalise on the momentum form his round one podium finish. However, with a six week break scheduled for the TT after Oulton, he has a significant time to recover ahead of Snetterton in June.

The Honda rider’s absence is set to begin a flurry of rumours in the paddock, with a number of riders, headed by former championship runner-up John Hopkins, having made it known in recent weeks that they’re actively hunting BSB rides.
