BSB: O'Halloran 'up for the fight' at Silverstone

1 of 1

It might not have been the easiest season for Jason O’Halloran and the Honda Racing team but the Australian is up for the fight as he looks to confirm a spot in the all-important Showdown at Silverstone this weekend.

O’Halloran sits fourth in the series standings after a tough-but-consistent season with the all-new Honda Fireblade, but is ready to come out fighting this weekend as nine riders fight for six places in the three-round title shootout which kicks off at Oulton Park next week.

“I was a bit disappointed with Cadwell if I’m honest as I know we are capable of more than that,” he told MCN.

“This season has been quite up and down for us, it’s certainly been tough but we’ve been able to score consistent points and that sees us where we are in the championship.

“Silverstone will be tough with so many riders fighting for so few positions, but I’m certainly up for the fight. It’s a good track for us too, I nearly missed out on pole there last year in my first race for six months. Finishing on the podium in all three races will be key to staying in the Showdown so that’s what we’ve got to look to achieve.”
