Heading into today’s races at Donington Park, Bridewell sits third in the championship standings. So far this season he has accumulated three victories, including the double at Oulton Park, and a further 11 podiums.

“I am obviously really happy to be staying with the Oxford Products Racing Ducati team for another year,” Bridewell said. “For me it was a logical decision to continue next season, we are strong as a team and the Ducati is the all-round package. I feel that together we can fight for the championship.

“I am really excited for the rest of this year, pre-season testing and looking ahead to 2022. It is nice to be in a position now where my contract is signed and I can really focus on the final two rounds of this year and continue going forwards.”

Bridewell has a total of five victories with the team so far and finished third overall in the 2019 season – battling hard against the PBM Ducati duo of Scott Redding and Josh Brookes.

As things stand, prior to race two and three at Donington Park, he is 18 points behind Jason O’Halloran and Tarran Mackenzie in the standings. Bridewell had closed the gap to nine points at Oulton Park, but crashed out at Donington during the wet opening race of the weekend.

“I am really happy to announce that Tommy will be back with the Oxford Products Racing Ducati team next season,”Team Owner Steve Moore added. “We have come a long way since we began working together. What started as a few races has turned into a long-standing relationship, which is hard to come by.

“So far, we have celebrated race wins, podium finishes, and we are fighting for the championship, so I am excited to see what we can continue to accomplish as a team. We can now look ahead to next season, but also importantly focus on this year’s title fight now without any distraction and that is important for all of us.”

The team will also continue their title partnership with Oxford Products into the 2022 season, totalling four consecutive seasons of association.
