Perugini denies Stoner first win

1 of 1

Australian Casey Stoner took his first ever podium position at the 125cc German GP. But the Aussie had to settle for second after Stefano Perugini slipped past on the penultimate lap.

The leading group also consisted of Alex De Angelis and Daniel Pedrosa, who were forced to settle for third and fourth, with De Angelis failing in his attempt to snatch second from Stoner on the final corner.

Fifth was Pablo Nieto, who worked his way through the field from 18th after a bad start. Brit Leon Camier finished in 23rd place, whilst early leader Hector Barbera eventually finished in 14th after a stop-go penalty for a jump start.
