Visit the Day of Champs

1 of 1

Start coughing, complaining of feeling a bit rough – or be up front and book the day off because Thursday (July 21) is the Day Of Champions at Donington Park – your chance to rub shoulders with practically every rider from the 125, 250, MotoGP and British Superbike grids.

Join an organised ride-in and you can even get a couple of laps around the circuit. There are quizzes, interviews, coach laps with celebrity drivers, sidecar rides and loads more. The whole event raises funds for motorcycling’s favourite charity Riders For Health.

And of course you can bid in a sensational charity auction with items including kit owned by Alex Barros, Loris Capirossi, Carlos Checa, Colin Edwards, James Ellison, Sete Gibernau, Nicky Hayden, Alex Hofmann, John Hopkins, Marco Melandri and Makoto Tamada, plus a two seat ride with Randy Mamola, a minibike and model bikes signed by riders and a signed Valentino Rossi No46 plate.

See this week’s MCN for a full timetable of events at the Day of Champions.

Tickets start at £10 and you can find more details and the latest updates for the day at Riders For Health’s website: HERE
