Damp start for Ducati

1 of 1

The Ducati GP team’s run of bad luck has continued with yet another day of testing disrupted by wet weather.

The team’s previous test session in Valencia was abandoned to rain, and now their first day of testing at Jerez on the 2006 bike, yesterday, was disrupted by rain again.

The morning session was completely rained off. Riders Sete Gibernau and Loris Capirossi did managed to get out in the afternoon but lingering damp spots kept the pace right down.

The two riders were happy with their first ride on the new bike with Capirossi putting in 35 laps and setting a best time of 1:42.644, while Gibernau put in 52 laps with a best lap of 1:42.606.

Gibernau said his first experience of the new bike and team left him confident he had made the right decision to move to Ducati for 2006.
