Edwards tops test pole

The final day of MotoGP testing split in to three sections with John Hopkins, Colin Edwards and Sete Gibernau taking a session each.

The day was spoiled by wet weather which kept the times slower than the previous days leaving Valentino Rossi with the fastest time of the test, but it was his team-mate Colin Edwards who came off best taking home a new BMW after topping the timed qualifying practice session. Join the MCN Fantasy Road Race for just £5 John Hopkins and Rossi were dominating the qualifying, trading places at the top of the table but both riders crashed out of the wet session within minutes of each other leaving the way clear for Edwards to take pole.

Hopkins still left his mark though, taking the fastest lap in the morning free practice while the afternoon free practice went to Sete Gibernau’s Ducati.
