Dani waits on new parts

Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa anticipates a batch of new performance upgrades for his RC212V 800cc machine when he returns to the track for the IRTA test in Qatar on February 13.

It is no secret that Honda’s new V4 has struggled to match its rivals in engine performance in winter testing so far, with top speed and acceleration key areas that need improving before the first race in Qatar on March 10.

Pedrosa, recently boosted by setting the fastest lap on race tyres at the recent Phillip Island test session in Australia, said: “I didn’t expect anything at Phillip Island because it was only four days after Sepang. They have information but not enough time react. I hope something is coming for Qatar. In ten days maybe they can do some things.”

Pedrosa refused to discuss what was on his wish list of new parts.
