Factory Kawasaki rider Olivier Jacque has declared himself fit and raring to go for the new MotoGP world championship campaign which gets underway in Qatar next week.

The French rider is confident he will have fully recovered from his horror crash recently in testing at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar that left him needing hospital treatment for serious concussion.

The former world 250 champion continued to struggle in the last winter test at Jerez, and couldn’t complete any long runs of significance while still the affects of the Doha concussion.

He to MCN the extent of the problem by saying: “When I got home after Qatar I had to lie in a dark room for four days non-stop, because the light was a problem. The doctors assured me it was pretty normal but I’m going to be fine for the first race.”
