Valentino Rossi was once again the fastest rider at the end of day two of the MotoGP test in Sepang.

The Italian completed 70 laps, recording a best time of 2:00.472 on his final lap of the day.

Valentino Rossi has spent much of the day testing a Bridgestone qualifying tyre, which resulted in his best lap. It was however 0.472secs slower than his best time yesterday.

Hayden’s best time of 2:00.900 was recorded on a Michelin qualifying tyre, which he managed just after 12pm local time. The Repsol Honda rider was almost two seconds quicker than yesterday’s best time on the RC212V and just 0.428secs behind Valentino Rossi.

Third fastest was Fiat Yamaha new boy Jorge Lorenzo who spent day two testing a new chassis on his YZR-M1..

Lorenzo, who chose to run a race tyre, managed a best time of 2:02.396 as part of a 55-lap run.

Last of the regular riders was Alex de Angelis onboard the Honda Gresini RC212V. His best time of his 57 laps was a 2:02.646.
