MotoGP: Valentino Rossi plays down new manager rumours

Valentino Rossi has denied speculation he is looking to install current Fiat Yamaha team boss Davide Brivio to manage his personal affairs.

Rossi split with long-term manager Gibo Badioli and his Great White London Management Company after the 29-year-old became embroiled in a multi-million pound tax investigation last August.

Valentino Rossi recently agreed a settlement of £26m with Italy’s tax authorities but has denied that his close relationship with Davide Brivio will see the Fiat Yamaha boss become his personal manager.

Rossi told MCN: “Davide and all the Yamaha team really help me to organise a lot.

“They help me speaking to journalists, to organise the travel, and a lot of other things.

“But I don’t have a manager and I don’t need a manager.”
