Dani Pedrosa to test the waters in Donington Park practice after test crash

Dani Pedrosa has confirmed he’ll be riding this weekend at Donington Park after a huge off just over a week ago during the Barcelona test after the Catalan MotoGP.

Pedrosa high-sided during the test, just a day after riding to a dominant victory in the race.

The Spaniard landed heavily on his shoulder and back, leaving him with an anxious wait before this weekend to see if he’d be fit enough to ride.

During a pre race weekend press conference he said: “I feel much better, but I’m still in some pain.

“I have tried to rest over the last week and will see how I feel when I’m on the bike tomorrow.”

Pedrosa also confirmed that he will not be riding the pneumatic valve RCV after his testing time on the new bike was cut short by his big off.

“I did not so many laps with the pneumatic valve bike,” added the 2007 MotoGP championship runner-up.

“I did a few laps on it and then went out on the normal bike and crashed.

“I’ll be back using the normal bike this weekend.”
