Jerez MotoGP: Suzuki rolling out old parts again

1 of 1

Suzuki duo Loris Capirossi and Chris Vermeulen are expected to run one hybrid factory GSV-R machine each in this weekend’s Spanish MotoGP.

The duo, who had a tough start to the new season in Qatar earlier this month, will have one motorcycle using the latest spec 2008 motor, but featuring a 2007 chassis and bodywork, according to sources.

Italian Capirossi used a 2007 aerodynamics package on his way to eighth place in Qatar, but MCN understands he also raced with last year’s chassis too, with the new 2008 machine struggling for handling performance.

Loris Capirossi and Chris Vermeulen are expected to test a host of new parts in two-day test sessions after the next two races in Jerez and Estoril.
