Brno MotoGP: Tech 3 Yamaha keen for Cal Crutchlow talks

Tech 3 Yamaha boss Herve Poncharal has told MCN he is keen to meet rising British star Cal Crutchlow about a possible Moto2 ride in 2010.
The current World Supersport championship leader is expected to visit this weekend’s Czech Republic GP in Brno.
And Tech 3 Yamaha boss Poncharal, who will run a two-rider Moto2 team in 2010, has said he would like to sit down with Crutchlow to assess his plans.
Crutchlow has made no secret of his desire to secure a top World Superbike ride next season, but he’s also seriously contemplating a move to the new 600cc four-stroke Moto2 class.
MCN understands Crutchlow has been locked in negotiations with Fausto Gresini about a deal in 2010 for Moto2.
Poncharal said: “I’d like to meet him and see what his thoughts are on next year.”
Tech 3 is currently building its Moto2 project in France, with a swingarm already machined and drawing of the chassis is close to completion.
The team has already been linked with British rider Bradley Smith, but a deal for Crutchlow would make sense given he is already a Yamaha rider and he’s got a personal sponsorship deal with Monster.
The American energy drink giant is title sponsor to James Toseland and Colin Edwards’ Tech 3 Yamaha MotoGP squad.
