Valentino Rossi is scared of Wayne Rooney

Reigning MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi isn’t scared of dicing with Casey Stoner at nearly 200mph.

But he is scared of England football star and Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney.

Rossi’s favourite football team Inter Milan clash with Manchester United in the opening knockout stage of the Champions League tonight.

And Rossi has admitted being fearful of defeat at the hands of the runaway Premier League leaders.

Looking ahead to tonight’s big game at the San Siro, the Fiat Yamaha rider told MCN: “I’m not optimistic because Manchester United at this time is stronger than Inter I think, but who knows, in one game everything is possible.

“But it will be difficult. I won’t go to the game because I’m not in Italy, but maybe I will go to the return game in England at Manchester.”
