German MotoGP: Dani Pedrosa gets new Honda engine

American MotoGP winner Dani Pedrosa will assess a new Honda RC212V motor in practice for the German GP at the Sachsenring this weekend. The Spaniard, who ended a 13-month victory drought in Laguna Seca earlier this month, confirmed HRC had made the new V4 motor available for Sunday’s race. The 23-year-old, who crashed out of the lead in a rain-lashed German GP last season, said: “We have a new engine. It’s to improve the power delivery because our engine is always very peaky and we have a lot of spinning in the slower corners, so we are trying to help in this area to try and get a better drive out of the corner.”
