Ducati’s factory team boss Livio Suppo has praised the attitude and work ethic of new signing Nicky Hayden after the American enjoyed his best winter test on the new GP9 in Qatar.

The 2006 MotoGP world champion ended the three-night test at the Losail International Circuit in fifth place having previously struggled to get in the top ten in Sepang last month.

ayden himself admitted feeling much more comfortable on the GP9 in the Middle East, which featured a new carbon fibre swingarm for the first time.

And Suppo told MCN: “Nicky has the right attitude. The good thing is every time that he goes out he improves a little bit more and this is very positive.

“He is improving a lot with the machine and his approach with the team and getting stronger at the right time with the first race approaching.”
