German MotoGP: Elias takes Moto2 win

Toni Elias extended his Moto2 championship lead with victory at the Sachsenring today after battling from 11th position at the end of the first lap.

Team-mates Andrea Iannone and Gabor Talmacsi pulled away from the rest of the field on the first lap, and Iannone led the entire race until Elias made a surprise charge for the lead.

Robbie Rolfo completed the podium in third place. Brit Scott Redding was battling for ninth place when he retired mid way through the race.
