Indy MotoGP: Terol eases to 125GP victory

1 of 1

Aspar Aprilia rider Nicolas Terol has extended his lead at the top of the 125GP championship with an easy victory at Indianapolis today.

The Spanish rider got a good start off the line and from there it was just a question as to how much of a lead he could pull on the chasing riders. Terol finished 3.6secs ahead of second place man Maverick Vinales after slowing towards the end of the race – Terol had a lead of over 10 second midway through.

Sandro Cortese completes the podium in third place, the German was unable to pass Vinales on the final lap. Sergio Gadea and Johann Zarco complete the top five.

Brit Danny Kent got off to a good start, the Ajo Motorsport rider was sat in eighth position, in the group fighting for fifth when he ran off track mid way through the race. Kent managed to rejoin and battled up to 13th to claim three points.

Fellow Brit Taylor Mackenzie finished 21st.
