The most experienced squad in MotoGP was officially unveiled this afternoon when Loris Capirossi and Randy de Puniet took part in the launch of the 2011 Pramac Ducati team.

Launched on the MSC Fantasia cruise ship in Genoa today, the 2011 livery is almost identical to the paintscheme used by Paolo Campinoti’s squad last season when it ran Aleix Espargaro and Mika Kallio.

Pramac is continuing with its environmentally friendly mantra that saw the squad branded The Green Energy Team last season.

The new venture promoted the use of solar and wind power as part of the team’s drive to make its paddock activities more environmentally friendly.

The Pramac Ducati squad boasts a wealth of experience with Capirossi preparing to make his 316th Grand Prix start in Qatar next month when the new season kicks off on March 20 in Qatar.

French rider de Puniet is also a seasoned campaigner who made his 200th Grand Prix appearance in the final round of the 2010 series in Valencia.

Capirossi finished last week’s Sepang test in Malaysia with the 13th quickest time while de Puniet was one place further down the order in 14th.

Both complained of a turning issue with the new GP11 machine, which has also been an issue raised by factory Ducati duo Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden.
