Honda dominates Sepang test first day

The Repsol Honda team has dominated the opening day of MotoGP testing in Sepang, with Casey Stoner posting the fastest time of the day, followed by team-mate Dani Pedrosa.

At the end of the morning session, Andrea Dovizioso was third quickest, making it a top three for the Honda team, but the afternoon session saw him demoted by Jorge Lorenzo on the factory Yamaha, and Colin Edwards for Tech 3 Yamaha.

Valentino Rossi had finished the morning fifth fastest on the Ducati, but slipped to ninth by the end of the day, one second slower than Stoner’s fastest time.
