Estoril MotoGP: Nicolas Terol takes third victory of season

1 of 1

Nicolas Terol made it three wins out of three today, with yet another win at the Estoril circuit in Portugal.

Terol’s team-mate Hector Faubel crashed out of third place while fighting for second with Sandro Cortese. This gave Cortese room to calmly bring it home to finish second ahead of Johann Zarco.

Zarco only just took third, though. A photo finish was needed to decide the final podium position, with Zarco edging out Maverick Vinales by 0.002sec.

Danny Kent was the only British rider to finish in the points, he finished fifteenth to score one point. Danny Webb finished 16th while Taylor Mackenzie didn’t start due to a shoulder injury from a crash during qualifying.
