Sachsenring Moto2: Aegerter takes last lap win

Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter has taken the full 25 points at the Sachsenring after battling with Mika Kallio.

Aegerter spent most of the race in Kallio’s wheel tracks unable to make a move. With four laps to go the Suter rider moved in to first position at the first corner, but Kallio soon retook the lead.

Aegerter left it until the penultimate corner to retake the lead as Kallio was unable to reply at the final corner.

Simone Corsi beat Esteve Rabat to the final podium position after a race long battle between the pair and Italian rookie Franco Morbidelli.

Moto3 champion Maverick Vinales caught up with the battle for third place late in the race and finished fifth, ahead of Morbidelli.

Sam Lowes finished 20th onboard the Speed Up machine after a poor qualifying session on Saturday. Fellow Brit Gino Rea finished in 25th.
