Le Mans Moto3: Vazquez to start from pole

Spanish rider Efren Vazquez has secured his first ever Moto3 pole position at the Le Mans circuit with a time of 1.42.491.

The Honda rider beat championship hopeful Jack Miller to the front spot. Miller will start from second on the grid with Alex Rins rounding out the front row in third.

Frenchman Alexis Masbou heads the second row ahead of Niklas Ajo and Isaac Vinales.

British rider and Vazquez’ team-mate John McPhee will start from the middle of the third row in eighth place, sandwiched between Alex Marquez and Zulfhami Khairuddin.

Red Bull Husqvarna rider Danny Kent will start from 12th place on the grid.
