Ducati's double podium in Qatar was highly impressive. The Bologna based squad had showed impressive pace throughout the winter but being able to convert that into 36 points on race day will have given the team plenty of confidence ahead of this weekend's race in Texas.

With Marc Marquez having finished fifth in the season opener Andrea Dovizioso knows that he will have to compete with the world champion at a circuit that Marquez has always excelled.

"I think that the characteristic of the track is really good for Honda and for Marc," said Dovizioso. "I believe this bike will be good in every track, but still it's too early to have the confirmation of that, because we really didn't make too many kilometers on this bike. Still there are some places where I believe we can improve and we have to improve. So we don't have all the situation under control, we don't know evertying about this bike, so anything can happen. But after this result, I believe we can be just better, so I will go in Austin really excited and I believe we can make a really good race there."

Andrea Iannone, fresh from his first podium in MotoGP, echoed his teammate's thoughts:

"I think that Marc is really strong in Austin, but I'm sure the Ducati has the potential to fight at the top. This winter we do a lot, and I think in every race, have a good potential, and I believe in this, I want to try my best, and I want to fight for the first five positions in every session."
