Danny Kent claimed his fourth pole position of the year with the 21 year old smashing the track record at Indy to lead the way from Miguel Oliviera and Zulfhami Khairuddin. The Malaysian hadn’t qualified on the front five rows of the grid all season but took advantage of a tow to start from the outisde of the front row.

Enea Bastianini will start on the second row with Fabio Quartararo putting aside rumours of a move to Leopard Racing to start fifth. Romano Fenati’s qualifying woes continue unabated with the Italian starting 11th.
