Pedrosa not worried about lack of a fast time
Dani Pedrosa spent the week working on the Honda engine and having finished the second Sepang test with only the seventh fastest time he dismissed any suggestions that he was struggling for one lap speed by reaffirming that in testing teams are working towards improving their weaknesses in all areas.
"I think we did a good job," said Pedrosa. "We were testing a lot of things in the engine so everything is a little bit mixed. We never get the chance to put it all together, but finally our pace was quite good every run. We were lapping well and I got to know better the bike after these three days, so overall we did a good improvement since the first day."
After six days running at Sepang the teams have been reaching a point of diminishing returns and the value of running at the Malaysian venue starts to be reduced. For Pedrosa the key is to take the lessons learned and move to the next venue and start to make sure that the progress being made is validated at the final test of the season in Qatar in two weeks time.
"I think now it's time to change the track and see the things in another place. Also try to improve a little the things I'm not really really happy with. Going into the corner and especially coming out of the turn we need to improve. I think if we manage to improve there, we can do a little step, so hopefully in the next test or the first few races we can still improve the bike.
