Top three for Danny Kent at Jerez

With cold and windy conditions having been the norm for the opening day two days of the second Moto3 test of the year warmer conditions offered reason for optimism for British riders Danny Kent and John McPhee with both finishing in the top five as the test concluded.

Kent’s performance throughout the week was very encouraging for the Englishman with the majority of the week spent running comfortably inside the top five. His adaptation to the Honda has looked comfortable for the two time Grand Prix winner with top three times on two of the three days of the test.

Last year, riding the Husqvarna, Kent had a difficult return to the class before a change in setup philosophy lead to a strong second half to the campaign. This week however showed that he is ready to hit the ground running from the opening race in Qatar next month.

McPhee finished the week with the fifth fastest time, seven tenths off the fastest time of French rookie Fabio Quartararo.
