Broc Parkes was called into testing duties for Yamaha today with the Australian working with the Japanese manufacturer today in Aragon.

Parkes was at the Spanish track to test Michelin tyres and due to his experience of racing in MotoGP last year, with Paul Bird Motorsport, he is one of the few riders available for Michelin testing that can give comparative feedback to the French tyre manufacturer about their developments.

For Parkes it was a great opportunity to ride the bike and work with the team.

“I was here to test the Michelin tyres,” Parkes told MCN. “I worked through their programme and it was great to ride a MotoGP bike again. I loved it today because the bike is really impressive and the team were great to work with. It’s nice to be called by Yamaha and asked to come test for them and hopefully I’ll get the chance to work with them again.”

The former World Supersport race winner currently rides Milwaukee Yamaha in BSB and has strong ties with Yamaha having raced for them at in world endurance in recent years including at the Suzuka 8 Hours.
