Redding excited by one rider team

Scott Redding says he’s delighted to be in a one rider MotoGP team for 2015. Lining up as part of the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS outfit, he will be the team’s sole rider in the premiere class despite a concentrated effort in Moto2.

Speaking at the team’s launch last week in Madrid, the Brit said that being the sole rider in the team means efforts are focused on him. His comments come after a year with the Gresini team on a privateer Honda, alongside teammate Alvaro Bautista on the bike that he will essentially inherit for 2015.

“I’m really happy to be on a team where I am the only rider, it’s something I had always dreamed of, as all of the teams efforts will be focused solely on me. I’m happy to be back with Marc VDS, as I already know the team and that can only help us achieve good results this season. We still have some work to do to close the gap to the leading teams before we get to the first race in Qatar, and must learn from the guys who are faster than us.”
