Rins takes second win of the season

Alex Rins took his second win of the season in dominant style at Phillip Island. The Spaniard was fast and consistent throughout the race and quickly opened a gap to Thomas Luthi and Sam Lowes once he hit the front of the field.

Lowes benefited from a crash by Luthi to inherit second place but the Speed Up rider had plenty of speed on his own. The Englishman claimed his fifth podium of the year and showed again that when the bike is working within the optimum window he can be fast and compete at the front of the field.
