Redding sets sights on factory ride for 2017

New Pramac Ducati rider Scott Redding has firmly set his sights on his target for 2017 before the 2016 seaosn even kicks off proper – securing a factory seat on the Borgo Panigale firm’s MotoGP team.

After a torrid two years on Honda machinery in 2014 and 2015, it looked to many that Redding’s chances of securing a factory seat had maybe slipped away from him for good.

But, with a new motivation in the form of a bike that he loves riding and a manufacturer he loves working with, he has firmly set his sights on following in the footsteps of Andrea Iannone and securing a factory seat with the Bologna firm for next year.

“Ducati are the exact opposite of Honda. They’ve given me a good base and they want to keep pushing, keep giving me what I need if I do well. They go to win, and they don’t care about anything else. That’s the sole objective from the weekend.

“My target is to get on the factory bike, end of story, and I think that’s what Ducati and Pramac want too. They want to see me come up, get going and get onto the factory bike. I think that’s why they’ve signed me. It worked with Iannone and I think they want to do the same with me. It fills you with confidence!”
