Moto2: Marquez tops Morbidelli in FP3

1 of 1

Alex Marquez continued to lead the way ahead of Moto2 qualifying in what was Saturday’s first fully dry practice session.

Early morning rainfall had left the track in a sketchy condition ahead of third free practice for Moto3 and MotoGP but by the time Moto2 hit the track the surface was in a good enough state for the majority of the field to improve their Friday times.

Quicker than the race lap record, Marquez’ time of 2’06.996 places him almost four tenths ahead of team-mate Franco Morbidelli.

Mattia Pasini was third fastest ahead of Thomas Luthi with Lorenzo Baldassari with an impressive showing from Remy Gardener in sixth for Tech 3.

Miguel Oliveira was venth ahead of Taka Nakagimi and Simoni Corsi while Isaac Vinales rounded out the top ten.

Tarran Mackenzie was the quickest Brit down in 27th ahead of wildcard Jake Dixon who was 31st quickest in the final free practice session.
