Moto3: Canet remains on top in FP2

1 of 2

Aron Canet continued to lead the way in the second Moto3 practice at sunny Silverstone this afternoon, beating Romano Fenati to the top spot by just in a close-fought session.

Fenati, who missed most of this morning’s FP1 due to technical problems with the Snipers Honda, was just 0.101sec slower than Canet, who lapped the 3.66-mile circuit 0.3 under the race lap record.

Bo Bensneyder, who was second quickest this morning, was the third rider on the timesheets under the lap record ahead of Jorge Martin and Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Philip Oettl was sixth quickest ahead of series leader Joan Mir and Ayuma Sasaki.

Juanfran Guevara was ninth with Enea Bastianini.

Britain’s John McPhee rounded out the day 15th quickest for the British Talent team while local wildcards Tom Booth-Amos and Jake Archer rounded out the day 29th and 30th respectively.

Remarkably, there were no crashers in either of the day's 45 minute Moto3 sessions.
