Italian Tony Arbolino finished this afternoon’s second Moto3 free practice session fastest, with a time of 2’14.257, ahead of Marco Bezzecchi and Niccolo Antonelli, with just over two tenths of a second separating the leading trio.

Despite being hit by light spots of rain at the midway stage, the 11 fastest riders of the session all went quicker than the best time from FP1 – a 2’15.489 set by Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing’s Philipp Oettl.

Following Antonelli home was Gabriel Rodrigo with a time of 2’14.732, who was 0.475 seconds off the quickest time. He was trailed by Aron Canet, who was 0.697 seconds off the pace with a time of 2’14.954.

In sixth place was FP1 pace-setter Oettl, who improved on his time from the first session by over four tenths. Rounding out the top 10 were Fabio Di Giannantonio, Jakub Kornfeil, Tatsuki Suzuki and Jorge Martin.

British riders Jake Archer, John McPhee and Tom Booth-Amos finished the session 26th, 27th and 30th respectively.
