Pramac Racing Ducati are the latest MotoGP team to unveil their new 2022 livery ahead of the first official pre-season test of the year at Sepang.

The red, white, and blue design has been altered from last year, with each colour getting its fair share of space compared to the primarily red design of 2021. The black has been removed from the wings, replaced with blue, and from the belly pan. The rider’s leathers have also been updated to match the new design, featuring dashes of red, blue and white.

Pramac Racing have retained Johann Zarco and 2021 rookie sensation Jorge Martin for the upcoming season. Last season was a great year for the satellite Ducati team, with Martin securing both his and the team’s maiden MotoGP victory in Austria.

The Spaniard took four podiums in total, as well as four poles, despite missing four races after suffering multiple fractures in his hands and right ankle in a crash at Portimao.

Meanwhile, Zarco made a strong, consistent start to the year with four second-placed finishes from the opening seven races. The Frenchman finished inside the top six in each of the final three races, but a tough middle-part of the season cost him in the title fight. He ended the year fifth overall.

Pramac Racing ended the year as the top independent team and also finished fourth overall in the teams’ championship. Pramac Racing will continue to receive full factory support from Ducati this year, with each rider competing on a Desmocedici GP22.

Claudio Calabresi, Pramac’s MotoE project leader, has taken on the role of team manager following Francesco Guidotti’s move to KTM.

Pramac are the sixth team to reveal their 2022 livery. Gresini Racing Ducati were the first, with their striking design, and were followed by WithU Yamaha RNF Racing, KTM, Tech3 and Ducati.

Suzuki and Yamaha are due to unveil their new designs on Friday (February 4).
