MotoGP: Gresini Racing Ducati unveil striking new livery

The Gresini Racing Ducati team has unveiled a striking update to its MotoGP livery ahead of the 2025 season.

This year’s design remains pastel blue, however, it’s accompanied by sections of chrome and a dash of yellow either side of the screen. Chrome can be found on each side of the bike, on the wings, and behind the rider’s number.

Alex Marquez remains for a third campaign onboard the Ducati after finishing eighth overall in 2024, securing a single podium along the way. The season proved to be much harder than his maiden campaign with the team (2023), which saw the Spaniard win two Sprint races and celebrate two GP podiums.

“I’m starting the third consecutive year with the team, and I must admit this winter was a very ling one,” Marquez said. “The year finished on a high and it’s almost time to return to action. The new colours are incredible, and I hope everyone likes them.

“We’d love these colours to come with great results and from my side, I did everything I could this off season to be as physically and mentally prepared as possible for 2025.”

Rookie Fermin Aldeguer takes the seat vacated by Marc Marquez ahead of his rookie premier class season. Aldeguer signed a Ducati Corse contract at the beginning of 2024, with his destination unknown for several months.

The 19-year-old burst onto the scene towards the end of the 2023 Moto2 season, with the Spaniard winning the final four races of the year to secure third in the championship. 2024 proved to be a little trickier, with an inconsistent campaign ending with Aldeguer fifth in the standings.

“It is a first for me on several levels and my first team presentation as a MotoGP rider,” Aldeguer said. “the new livery of the bike is fantastic and very aggressive, and I think it reflects well the spirit of this team, who for many years have proven to be a great institution.

“The desire to take to the track is high, but this unveiling is already a big step towards the 2025 season.”

Aldeguer is one of three rookies on the 2025 grid, moving into the premier class alongside reigning Moto2 World Champion Ai Ogura, and Thai rider Somkiat Chantra. Aldeguer was the fastest of the three at the Barcelona test last November.

Both Marquez and Aldeguer will race onboard Desmosedici GP24 machinery this year – the same bike in-which Jorge Martin won the title for whilst riding for Prima Pramac Racing Ducati.

Gresini is the third team to unveil its 2025 livery following Trackhouse Racing Aprilia and the factory Aprilia team. During the latter’s presentation, Martin revealed that he will run the number one plate on his RS-GP.
