MotoGP: Marquez dominates for Aragon pole

1 of 1

Marc Marquez has continued his domination of the weekend at Motorland Aragon to ensure a controlling pole position for tomorrows race. Never looking in danger of losing the top spot, he finished the session 0.6 clear of Maverick Viñales.

But the biggest front row surprise was Jorge Lorenzo making it an all-Spanish front row, setting a strong time in the final seconds to bump Andrea Dovizioso back to the second row.

He’s joined there by Cal Crutchlow, who showed front row pace until a crash in the final seconds of the session, with Valentino Rossi the final man in sixth.

Dani Pedrosa, another crasher in the session, was seventh, ahead of Aleix Espargaró and Danilo Petrucci, with Scott Redding rounding out the top ten. Eugene Laverty was 16th, while Alex Lowes sat out the session after injuring his ankle this morning.
