Cal Crutchlow will run a special edition helmet this weekend at the Red Bull Ring to celebrate the birth of his first child over the MotoGP summer break.

Wife Lucy gave birth last week to baby Willow, and the Coventry native will run the special Arai that replaces his regular yellow with pink for this weekend in celebration.

Speaking at today’s press conference for the Austrian Grand Prix, the Isle of Man native admitted that Willow’s birth had been the most special day of his life.

“Just over a week ago, Lucy gave birth to our daughter Willow – and it was the best experience of my life and the best day of my life so far. It was an important moment for us and I’m so lucky I was at home for it – so I have to thank someone at Dorna for changing the dates a little!”
