Moto3 championship leader Brad Binder will start tomorrow’s race at Barcelona’s Montmelò circuit from pole position, after a late lap handed him the top spot in this afternoon’s qualifying session.

Binder’s lap saw him beat championship rivals Niccolò Antonelli and Jorge Navarro by only a whisker, with 0.088 covering the top three at the flag.

Nicolo Bulega pulled together a slow start to the weekend with fourth, ahead of fellow Italian Enea Bastianini and Argentina winner Khairul Idham Pawi.

Francesco Bagnaia was seventh, with Jules Danilo, Aron Canet and Romano Fenati rounding out the top ten. British racer John McPhee was 26th on his Saxoprint Peugeot.
