The big question: What’s the plan for 2011?

1 of 1

With the dust settled on the big three international road races, talk now is of what prospects might be in store for 2011.

MCN asked two of the leading players what plans they might have for next year.

Michael Dunlop
Well, I want to the win the lottery but it’s not happening. I also know what I want from racing but it’s hard to say what’s going to happen in 2011.

I just need to see what the lads (his current team) are doing.  Gary (Ryan of StreetSweep and his team manager) puts a lot in but does Gary want to carry on? He’s the main man.

Some people say they need this and that to win on the roads but do you really? The big thing is what Gary wants.

I’ll work from there. I’m not going to be in a stress about it, though.

Cameron Donald
I can’t see me going anywhere different from here (Relentless by TAS Suzuki). It’s been a tough year, coming back from injury and I’m feeling like we’ve now hit the sweet spot with the bike.

It’s been a new bike to me this year, remember – I only had a few laps on it before the TT crash in 2009. Now the season here is finished, I’m going home to race a Manx Norton my dad built.

I raced it last year but we had an electrical problem  – honestly – with the magneto. I’m entered in the Australian Classic Championships at Phillip Island.”
