2014 Irish Supersport champion Derek McGee is set to join Wilson Craig’s highly successful Honda team for the 2015 road racing season. McGee will also make his debut at the Isle of Man TT and North West 200, as he steps up to the international scene after his national championship success.

McGee follows in the footsteps of riders like Guy Martin and Cameron Donald at the privateer Honda team, and says he knows he stands to benefit from their experience when it comes to the new challenge.

“It’s great to get into a team like Wilson’s with so much experience; it takes a lot of pressure off me as I owned and was running all my own bikes last year.

McGee replaces Jamie Hamilton at the team, after a year where he consistently beat the Ballymena rider in both the supersport and supertwins class.

His Wilson Craig Honda superbike will be joined by a CBR600 Honda to defend his title, alongside superstock machinery for the international races, plus the Emerald Road Racing Supertwin Kawasaki, as he looks to go one better in the class he finished runner-up in in 2014.
