Ian Hutchinson and Josh Brookes chances of racing at this years TT appear to be becoming even slimmer as the Yamaha squad’s title sponsor Milwaukee Power Tools are rumoured to be about to withdraw their support for the Isle of Man event.

MCN sources say a statement is expected today announcing the decision in the latest twist in the deepening row surrounding the effects of the TT’s electronics rule changes.

Milwaukee, who have backed Shaun Muir’s race team for the past two seasons, were known to be concerned by the rule changes which may leave the YZF R1 at a disadvantage against the other top manufacturer teams.

Team boss Muir had already threatened to sit out this year’s event, dashing Hutchy”s much awaited TT return following recovery from a serious leg injury. The 2010 5 time TT winner seemed to be back to his competitive best after winning the 2013 Macau Grand Prix but this latest development may dash the Bingley rider’s hopes of adding to his tally of 8 TT wins. Aussie BSB star Brookes, the fastest ever newcomer on the Mountain course, could  also be reduced to spectating if Milwaukee withdraw.
