Michael Dunlop has made a sensational switch from Metzeler to Dunlop tyres for his 2014 TT campaign today. The Ballymoney man has returned to the rubber that carried him to 4 TT wins in 2013 after experiencing problems during practice week with the Metzelers that he has used in 2014.

The 25 year old made no comment about the switch but is understood that there were issues concerning tyre wear.

All four of Dunlop’s race machines- the Motorrad/Hawk BMW S1000RR, the MD Racing liveried Superstock spec BMW S1000RR and  CBR600RR Honda he will race in the Supersport class, and the McAdoo ER6 Kawasaki Supertwin will all be Dunlop shod for the rest of TT 2014.
