Opening Superbike race delayed until Sunday

The opening Superbike race of the TT has been delayed until Sunday afternoon with the big bikes start to start at 2pm. With the numerous delays in practice week race organisers have decided to postpone the race 24 hours after the loss of one practice session at the start of the week and Tuesday’s session being untimed.

The delay of the race was not unexpected given the weather earlier in the week but with improved forecasts for the next few days there is plenty of optimism for the rest of the TT festival.

The first sidecar race will take place on Saturday at 2pm.

Revised schedule for Saturday:

09.15: Mountain closes between Barrule Park and the Bungalow
09.30: Mountain closes between Bungalow and Creg Ny Baa
10.00 Roads close rest of the Course. All roads on the TT Course now closed
10.40 Superbike, Superstock, Supersport practice
11.50 Lightweight and Supersport practice
12.45 RST parade lap
14.00 Sure Sidecar Race
15.20 SES TT Zero Qualifying session
16.00 Roads start to open
17.00 Roads open around the Course
